Hi there! I'm Mathieu Coriou, a photography enthusiast who's been in the world of shutters and lenses since 2011. What started out as a simple curiosity on my travels has turned into a real passion.
Still navigating to discover my own style, I enjoy exploring street, landscape and, on occasion, sports photography. As an amateur, the freedom to follow my instincts and moods offers a unique insight into the spectrum of creative possibilities.
Living in Paris, I've had the opportunity to learn photography through different courses at the Centre Verdier in the 10th arrondissement. Although I have no formal training as a photographer, the inspiration I draw from iconic figures such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Martin Parr helps me to grow and constantly refine my work.
When it comes to gear, even if it's not the camera that makes the photographer, my main partners are my reliable Fujifilm XT-4 and its 35 mm and 50-140 mm lenses. Not forgetting my predilection for film photography, with my old Chinon CM 4-S. And of course, my iPhone, which is always at hand, when I need to take unexpected shots!
On the flip side, when not behind the camera, I enjoy sporting activities such as tennis, running and cycling. Enjoying precious moments with friends and discovering new experiences are also an essential part of my life. Finally, because I also work sometimes 🤓, I'm a digital marketing expert, specializing in paid acquisition and the development of successful communication strategies. More about that here.
My portfolio is a mix of my various projects, a testimony to my passion and ongoing evolution as a photographer.
If you're interested in getting in touch with me, whether to exchange ideas or propose me a project, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always ready to discuss my work, photography or anything in particular!
